1001 Journals picked up where 1000 Journals left off. This is a wildly successful mail-art project that I tried to participate in, but all the journals were closed when I got word of it. So now I’m sifting through the current open journals to see which one I want to do.

It’s almost here!
About a year ago I submitted some journal pages for a book called “1000 Artist Journal Pages.” Today I got a glimpse of the cover, and realized it’ll be out in July! There are so many fantastic journal artists and I just can’t wait to get a copy. Go pre-order it from Amazon!.

Crowned… another new journal for sale.
Aaaand… yet another journal added to the shop. This one was very fun to make. It’s another painted cover journal, I used red as a base and some watered-down white to make some neat splashy effects. I’ll definitely use those techniques again.
New journal in the shop!
Added another small journal to the shop. This one’s called “July!” - the colors remind me of bright summer days. It’s about 2.75″ x 4.5″ with a spine just over 1″ wide, filled with a good heavyweight printmaking paper & held closed by an elastic.

Updates: First class, new book & news
My first class on September 7th went very well. I had intended on taking pictures, but I forgot my camera!
Three most excellent ladies attended - all very pleasant, creative and a joy to teach. I hope they show up for the more advanced class in October.
